The 2000 ASHRAE Handbook-HVAC Systems and Equipment is the latest addition to ASHRAE's world renowned HVAC&R reference series. It describes both the equipment and the components or assemblies that perform a particular function either individually or in combination. The information helps the system designer select and operate HVAC&R equipment. Most of the chapters in this Handbook update material from the 1996 ASHRAE Handbook and several chapters include major revisions on new material. New chapters cover a variety of subjects; including central plant equipment options, a discussions of Standard 52.2 for testing ventilation air cleaning devices, motors and variable-speed drives, heat exchangers, and engine-driven chillers, air conditioners, heat pumps and refrigeration equipment.
